INTRODUCTION
*****************************************************************

When you join a Music Society, you get the opportunity to listen to music in a friendly atmosphere, to discuss your likes and dislikes and hear the views of others. An in-depth knowledge of music is certainly not necessary although it obviously isn't a handicap either.

*****************************************************************
Other advantages that you gain are those common to most societies - pleasures from new friendships, a happy social atmosphere, and widening horizons - and not all the talk is about music!
The best way of discovering what happens is to attend one of our programmes, take out an evening's temporary membership and to talk to the members. You are welcome to do this without being under any obligation.

Society News

World Premiere at Kidderminster Library

At their recital for the Classical Music Society on November 29th 2009, JOANNE & DAVID QUIGLEY gave the first public performance of a work for violin and piano entitled "Mollyfication" by the Irish composer, Philip Martin. This delightful three movement work was inspired by, and included references to, the well-known Irish reel, "Molly on the shore". The work was commissioned by Joanne and David for inclusion in their forthcoming CD release of Irish melodies.

The Society's musical activities for 2010 are now available. Please click on 'Progammes' above.

For 2010, we are pleased to announce an exciting series of concerts to be given by professional musicians. During January, we shall be publishing a full twelve month programme card. This will be distributed to all mailing list members and if you wish to add your name to this facility or require further details about these concerts, please contact us via the link on our Homepage.
